Paleosismolojik faylar\u0131n ge\u00e7mi\u015fine bakarak ileride nas\u0131l bir deprem \u00fcretecekleriyle ilgili yakla\u015f\u0131m sergileyen bilim dal\u0131d\u0131r. Burada \u00f6zellikle de Bozova fay hatt\u0131 \u00fczerinde \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131yoruz. Bu hat \u00f6nemli \u00e7\u00fcnk\u00fc Atat\u00fcrk Baraj\u0131\u2019na yak\u0131n bir fay.<br \/>\nUzunlu\u011fu itibar\u0131yla 55 kilometrelik bir fay ve 7 \u015fiddetine varan bir deprem \u00fcretebilir. Atat\u00fcrk Baraj\u0131\u2019na etkisiyle ilgili \u00f6nemi dolay\u0131s\u0131yla biz \u00f6nceli\u011fimizi Bozova fay hatt\u0131na verdik. Bu fay\u0131n ge\u00e7mi\u015fini anlamaya y\u00f6nelik 1 sene \u00f6nce bilimsel \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar ba\u015flatt\u0131k. Yakla\u015f\u0131k 1 ayd\u0131r burada 5 farkl\u0131 alanda \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131yoruz. Bizim hendek dedi\u011fimiz kaz\u0131lar yaparak fay\u0131n i\u00e7ine bakarak o fay\u0131n deprem tarih\u00e7esini ilgili veriler elde ediyoruz. Bu projenin sonucunda 8-9 ay sonra laboratuvar \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar da bitti\u011finde biz bu fayla ilgili \u00e7ok daha fazla bilimsel veriye sahip olaca\u011f\u0131z\u201d diye konu\u015ftu. Dr. S\u00fcmer, Kahramanmara\u015f merkezli depremlerin ard\u0131ndan Bozova fay\u0131 konusunda ger\u00e7ek d\u0131\u015f\u0131 b\u00fcy\u00fck spek\u00fclasyonlar\u0131n yap\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131na dikkat \u00e7ekerek, \u201cAtat\u00fcrk Baraj\u0131\u2019n\u0131n bendini bu fay kesmiyor, bu \u00e7ok \u00f6nemli. Depremlerde 2 hasar olu\u015fuyor, 1\u2019isi y\u00fczey y\u0131rt\u0131lmas\u0131 di\u011feri dalgadan kaynakl\u0131. Dolay\u0131s\u0131yla biz en az\u0131ndan Atat\u00fcrk Baraj\u0131\u2019n\u0131n bendini kesen bir fay riskinden kurtulmu\u015f durumday\u0131z. Atat\u00fcrk Baraj\u0131 bendi ve \u00f6zellikle havzan\u0131n g\u00fcneyiyle ilgili bir bask\u0131nla ilgili bir tehlike olur mu? Bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fman\u0131n sonunda ortaya \u00e7\u0131kart\u0131lacak.
